I started this blog as a single girl living in Houston, Texas with my cat, Louis, and my new boyfriend, Denton. Three years later Denton is now my husband and in October 2010 our lives changed forever when we found out we were expecting twins. Life changed again on May 9, 2011 when I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks and gave birth to our daughter Madelyn Alice and our son Jackson Carl. There were complications during the delivery and Madelyn passed away on May 13, 2011. We are still parents to twins and try to find balance in grieving the loss of our daughter while finding joy in our happy, healthy baby boy. This blog chronicles all these changes and cherished moments with Jackson and, of course, Louis the Cat.
